A PhD course on Participatory governance, civic inclusion and community empowerment: the role of mediated communication initiatives will be held at Pappersbruket, near Osby in south Sweden, 8-10 September 2009.
Among the confirmed speakers are Thomas Tufte and Norbert Wildermuth from Ørecomm, Linje Manyoso (London School of Economics) and Karin Wilkins (University of Texas).
The course is organised by the Danish National Research School for Media, Communication, and Journalism (FMKJ). Application deadline: 3 August 2009. Detailed information is available at the FMKJ website.
