New PhD opportunities at the University of Leicester

The School of Media, Communication and Sociology at the University of Leicester offers two PhD opportunities for candidates with interest in communication for social change.
4 Year Graduate Research Assistant Studentship (GRA)
- Start – September 2018.

The award covers tuition fees at the UK/EU rates and is open to UK/EU applicants only.
- Funding for this post is available for four years.

Applicants are required to hold/or expect to obtain a UK Bachelor Degree 2:1 or better and a Master’s Degree in a relevant subject.

Cross-College PGR Studentship Scheme 2018/19: Communication for social change to reduce stigma of pelvic floor disorders in Amhara region, Ethiopia
- Start – September 2018.
- An interdisciplinary PhD supervised by Dr Jessica Noske-Turner (Media Communication and Sociology) & Prof. Douglas Tincello (Centre for Medicine)
- Brings a communication for social change approach to understanding how to address critical women’s health issues in Ethiopia.
- Available to UK/EU and international applicants. The funding provides Stipend at UK/EU rates and UK/EU tuition fee waiver for 3 years. International applicants must be able to fund the difference between UK/EU and International fees for the duration of their study
