I am a PhD Fellow at the Department of Anthropology at the University of Copenhagen. My PhD project has the provisional title “Waves of intimacy and the production of radio voices in radio in France.”
The overall theme of this project is an exploration of how the human voice can be understood in an anthropological perspective, and how it is constructed as a social phenomenon. I understand the radio sound as a potential sociality between host and listeners, where voices belonging to people otherwise strangers to each other can meet and become intertwined with each other and with the sound of the technology of the radio.
I am part of the Media Ethnography Group. We are researchers from different disciplines within the humanities and social sciences, brought together by an interest in how people engage with media and communication in their everyday lives.
