GoComm
GoComm is a new Ørecomm project that will offer local start-ups, entrepreneurs and non-profit and governmental organisations in the Öresund region the opportunity to connect with global communication and development researchers and networks.
GoComm looks beyond traditional development cooperation models and emerging markets and link academia to innovative ideas from the public and private sphere, encouraging new hybrid models of global engagement. By harnessing innovative new ideas, proven best practice and expertise from different sectors, GoComm aims at doing good well, translating initial networking into longer-term reflective interactions.
The project runs as a pre-project during 2014, with the aim to be fully developed in the period 2015-2017. The project is financed by Interreg IV-A.
GoComm was launched on 18 February 2014 during Social Media Week in Copenhagen, as part of the event “Social Media in International Development – Communication for Social Change in the Digital Age.”
