Lecturer at the Department of Sociology of the University of Dar es Salaam. A medical sociology consultant with field, academic and research expertise. Has worked within and with governmental instances, non-governmental organizations and international and national research and development institutions. Holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Dar es Salaam.

Currently involved in the Danida funded research project Media, Empowerment and Democracy in East Africa (MEDIeA).
