I am part of the Media, Empowerment and Democracy in East Africa Research Programme where I have been one of the PhD students in a joint programme between the Institute of Development Studies, University of Nairobi, and Roskilde University. I am also an Associate of the Kenya ICT Action Network (KICTANet). Currently I am the Africa’s Civil Society Representative to the Working Group on the Commission on Science and Technology for Development (CSTD), and the None Commercial Users Constituency (NCUC) of ICANN. I have for the last three years been the Kenyan researcher for Freedom House’s Freedom of the Net Report.
