I am currently an Assistant Professor of Media Studies at the Department of Aesthetics and Communication at Aarhus University, Denmark. My research interests span the fields of journalism and media studies; political communication; development studies and communication for/and social change. With specific regards to communication for/and social change, I am particularly interested in examining the ways in which ordinary Africans appropriate new forms of mediated communication and the implications of these for notions of cultural identity; youth aspirations and intra-familial relations.
You can contact me for more information about my research interests as well as see a list of my publications through this site.
