Ørecomm business meeting

An Ørecomm business meeting will be held at Roskilde University, 12 May 2009, 11:30-13:30 at CBIT, building 42, third floor. The meeting is timed to make possible attending a guest lecture by Leonardo Avritzer, Brazilian political scientist from Minas Gerais (see official CV). Ørecomm co-director Thomas Tufte is discussant. Leonardo Avritzer’s background paper on Civil society in Brazil: from state autonomy to political interdependency (pdf) is available for download.

Ørecomm participants are thus recommended to start the day at 9:00, in building 25.1, at the Citizenship, Democratic Participation and Civil Society in Global Perspective conference, and possibly return to the conference after our meeting.
