Update: orecomm.net
In order to be kept informed about new items on the site, you may subscribe to news by email. This service generates one or two brief mail messages per week, and they are probably often of some interest to you as visitor to orecomm.net. The link to activate this service is at the top of the middle column. Do remember to confirm the subscription, or it will not work. Try it out – if you find it irrelevant, unsubscribing is as easy as a click!
Another recent function on the Orecomm site is the “Development search” box, also in the middle column. “Development search” uses a filter on the Google search machine, to increase the relevance of results. Once results are listed, you may refine to show, e.g., links regarding Africa only, or, just a specified document type. The filter has been developed at the Institute of Development Studies (Sussex, UK).
Orecomm is a co-operative project. Orecomm.net is kept alive at virtually no cost for Orecomm, and there are many ways for you to contribute: Register, log in and publish all by yourself! It is easy, start far down on the right column! Or send news by email to editors, at present robin@ruc.dk – about: events, useful links, pictures for the front page, publications (including your own!), conferences – anything you find fit for the Orecomm community.
