The 3rd International Conference on Mobile Technology for Development (M4D) will take place in Ghaziabad, India, 28-29 February 2012, following previous conferences in Karlstad (2008) and Kampala (2010). The conference will be organised by IMS School of Management Studies (Ghaziabad, India) in co-operation with HumanIT (Karlstad University, Sweden).

The M4D2012 conference is an opportunity for practioners, researchers, development agencies and NGO workers to convene, discuss and socialize. As in previous M4D conferences there will be a possibility for both research-oriented as well as practioner-oriented contributions (papers and posters).

Ghaziabad is located approximately 20 km outside Dehli and 40 km from the Indira Gandhi International Airport (2 hours by car). IMS will be able to provide for free accommodation for researchers, graduate and post-graduate students coming from developing countries. IMS will arrange both a low cost guest-house option as well as a luxury hotel in Ghaziabad. HumanIT will be able to sponsor travels and conference fees for some researchers, graduate and post-graduate students coming from developing countries.

There will be possibilities to organise pre-conference activities. Please contact Conference Chair Dr. Vikas Kumar (vk_aggarwal@rediffmail.com) for more details.

A conference webpage will be available shortly (March 2011), with updates and details on deadlines, conference fees and etc.
