“Bribery and corruption in African journalism” is the theme of the recent issue 3(3) of African Communication Research, available online here.

This issue begins with an extensive review article by Terje S. Skjerdal on “Research on brown envelope journalism in the African media”, including references to research on the phenomenon also in other regions. Other articles are case studies from a number of Sub-Saharan countries, mainly in East Africa.
