Latinamerican Institute for
Communication for Development
Today, 23 November 2011, the Instituto Latinoamericano de Comunicación para el Desarollo, ILCD [Latinamerican Institute for Communication for Development], was inaugurated in Asunción, Paraguay.
The General Assembly of ILCD confirmed this result of a process involving communication researchers and practitioners from all over Latin America. Also Ørecomm participated in the preparations, via its co-director, professor Thomas Tufte, present in Asunción.
Ørecomm sends its best wishes to this new institutional colleague in the Latinamerican context, and hopes for plenty of future cooperation.
Following the ILCD ceremonies is the two-day I Foro de Comunicación para el Desarrollo en Paraguay – Ñe’ê Jeroguata [I Forum for Communication for Development in Paraguay] with a variety of events, seminars, book launches, etc. Professor Thomas Tufte is also present here, as speaker and panelist.
