Fieldwork, internship opportunity:
Burundi and DR Congo
Graduate students with relevant study background in, e.g., development studies, anthropology, public health, journalism, are sought for the research component of an innovative advocacy project on violence against women in Burundi and DR Congo. As the project is funded by the Danish government, students at Danish universities are prioritized. Expenses are not covered.
With economic assistance from Danida, ADRA Danmark (Adventist Development and Relief Agency) runs the project “Vi taler for forandring” [We speak for change] in Makambe and Cibitoke (Burundi) and in Bunia and Goma (eastern DR Congo). The project period is 2010-13 and includes radio programmes and listener’s committees to activate women in debates on gender equality, family relations, HIV and aids, conflict prevention.
