Debate Meeting on Danish Development Policy
NGO Forum and Universities Denmark will for the third consecutive year arrange a debate meeting on the state of Danish development policy with members of the Parliament and the Minister for Development Cooperation. The newly appointed Minister has initiated a new Danish development strategy. What is new in the new strategy, what can it achieve that the old one could not? What impact will the emphasis on a rights-based approach to bilateral and multilateral assistance have? And what happened to the social sectors of the Danish assistance? At this meeting you be able to learn about the Minister’s visions and hear the immediate reactions from the opposition. The strategy document is expected to be shared with the public in April.
The meeting will be held in Danish, on 26 March 2012, at 15:30 to 18:00, in the Ceremonial Hall, University of Copenhagen, Frue Plads 4, Copenhagen. See the full programme here. No registration needed.
