Communication for Development Specialist

“The post  plays a vital role in supporting UNICEF Country Teams as well as national Ministries of Health in strengthening evidence-based communication plans with particular emphasis on polio. … Additional focus must also be on supporting countries to develop plans which reach all children with routine immunization. In addition, the post supports countries in developing communication plans related to the introduction of new vaccines into routine immunization systems, addressing pneumonia and diarrhoea …  Under the general guidance of the Regional Chief of Communication for Development … , the post is responsible for the development, planning, implementation and monitoring of evidence based C4D strategies to support the regional polio eradication and immunization programme, consistent with the overall global and regional operational strategy:  the human rights approach to programming with a focus on community capacity development (HRAP/CCD).”
