UNICEF C4D Trainers and Facilitators Meeting

A meeting of trainers and facilitators of Communication for Development (C4D) takes place in New York, 3-7 December 2012. More than 50 trainers and facilitators are expected to join, both UNICEF functionaries and – more – external practitioners and academics.

Since 2010 alone, over 55 learning workshops for 3 to 5 days of length have been held by UNICEF offices at various levels in more than 40 countries across the world with training support provided by UNICEF’s panel of vetted and experienced C4D trainers and facilitators. The New York meeting will aim to develop recommendations and standards to inform and evaluate current and future capacity strengthening programmes in C4D that UNICEF facilitates and supports at global, regional and country levels.

Among the invited participants are Ørecomm co-directors Oscar Hemer (Malmö University) and Thomas Tufte (Roskilde University).
