Vacancy: UNDP Internship, Copenhagen

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has issued a call for an internship position with the Special Advisory Team of UNDP in Sustainable Procurement in the Health Sector, in Copenhagen.

In May 2012, an Informal Interagency Task Team for Sustainable Procurement in the Health Sector (IIATT-SPHS) was set up in Copenhagen. The Task Team convenes these agencies as well as relevant NGOs and expert consultants in order to draft a sustainability strategy and guidelines on the procurement of medical goods and services. Through market-shaping and cradle-to-cradle lifecycle approaches, the Task Team investigates ways that buying practices and procedures can be made more sustainable in the countries in which the UNDP operates.

The duration of the internship is 6 months with possibility of extension, with 15-20 working hours per week. Deadline for application is 1 April 2013. For details of the job and how to apply, see the ToR document here.
