Thomas Tufte gives lectures in Brazil
Are you in Brazil? Then don’t miss the opportunity to listen to co-director Thomas Tufte (Ørecomm) who will lecture at two different conferences – III EcoVale in Juazeiro (Bahia), and Comunicon 2013 in São Paulo – within the next couple of weeks.
Comunicon 2013 kicks off in only two days, on Thursday 10 October, and holds the theme Memory, Communication, Consumption: Vestiges and Prospections. The conference is held over two days and hopes to break new ground for reflection on communication and consumption, in dialog with other fields of knowledge.
Thomas Tufte will talk on “Memories of Agency, Participation and Resistance: A Hidden Ressource in the Communication Strategies of today’s Civil Society Organization and Social Movement?” on Friday 11 October, 9.30 am.
III EcoVale takes place 15 to 17 October and deals with Technological Innovation and Convergence of the Media. The conference aims to increase the regional understanding of communication processes at global and national level and will attract students, researchers and ICT professionals.
Thomas Tufte will contribute with a talk on “New Media and Social Movements” on Wednesday 16 October, at 8 am. The conference language of EcoVale is Portuguese.
