ECREA2016: Call for Submissions
Be the first to submit an abstract for presentation at the 6th European Communication Conference, which will take place in Prague, Czech Republic, from 9 to 12 November 2016.
European Communication Research and Education Association (ECREA) and Charles University in Prague invite to the 6th European Communication Conference (ECC) titled ‘Mediated (Dis)Continuities: Contesting Pasts, Presents and Futures’. The call for proposal was launched on 1 December and will close on 29 February 2016. Apart from individual papers, all interested in the topic are welcomed to submit proposals for posters and panels to one of the 21 sections of the Conference.
Organizers encourage to apply particularly those scholars that have conducted research on mediated memory cultures. These are a few examples of sections to apply to:
- Audience and Reception Studies Communication and Democracy
- Communication History
- Crisis Communication
- Diaspora, Migration and the Media
- Digital Culture and Communication
- International and Intercultural Communication
- Interpersonal Communication and Social Interaction
- Television Studies

Also, a quick reminder: deadline for proposals for Kluge Fellowship in Digital Studies is due 6 December. Kluge Fellows in Digital Studies will work in the Library of Congress in Washington D.C., cooperate with specialists and curators while in residence and are expected to produce a book, an article, a film, a website, etc. after 11 months of research.
