Ørecomm Festival: 4 weeks to go …
The Ørecomm Festival is approaching – 13 to 16 September will be interesting days. With only four weeks to go, the excitement is starting to build up. As many as 50 speakers will take part in the festival this year, and we are looking forward to four days full of inspiration.
Keynote speakers include Achille Mbembe (South Africa), Kendall R. Phillips (Usa), S. Elizabeth Bird (Usa), Thomas Hylland Eriksen (Norway), Miguel de Moragas Spa (Spain), Annette Markham (Denmark/Usa), Urvashi Butalia (India), Trinh T. Minh-ha (Vietnam) and Alfonso Gumucio Dagrón (Bolivia).
This week we are also happy to hear that The Act of Killing (dir. Joshua Oppenheimer, 2012) was shortlisted for Denmark’s Best Foreign Language Film Oscar submission. Read more about the screening of the film at the Ørecomm Festival here.
