Open Lecture: Resistance Technologies and Civic Engagement – Livestreaming for Social Change

The ComDev master’s programme at Malmö University is organizing an open lecture on resistance technologies and civic engagement tomorrow, Tuesday, 25 February, 6-8:30 pm (CET).

The lecture takes place at Radiostationen at Malmö University, but will also be livestreamed at www.mah.se/comdev.

The seminar will include a talk with one of the founders of Ana Mubasher, a livestreaming network from Cairo, Egypt.

Ana Mubasher is a livestreaming project created to aggregate all the livestreaming content about the Egyptian revolution in one place. Their aims are for citizen journalists on the ground to be published on a broader scale, document violations, shed a light on events outside Cairo and for national and international media to be able to reach eye-witnesses.

The lecture will be lead by Michael Krona, Mikael Rundberg, Tobias Denskus and Rebecca Bengtsson.
